It is sometimes a tough choice whether to render a finished photograph in monochrome or in colour. Colour in photography serves to influence perception and interpretation. Different hues convey distinct emotions and meanings. I attempt to find situations where these elements occur naturally and evoke a specific response in myself. I choose colour over monochrome when its use enhances the communicative power and visual impact of the image.
